CNN anchor Zoraida Sambolin appeared on ?New Day? Friday, where she updated viewers on her breast cancer treatment.

Sambolin revealed her diagnosis in May, and announced that she would undergo a double mastectomy.

?I gotta tell you, cancer has been a blessing, it has taught me a lot of lessons,? Sambolin said.
