TEMPLE (July 22, 2013)?Karl Dean Moore, 47, of Temple, who was arrested Friday on an unrelated theft warrant, has been charged in the robbery of a local credit union.
The robbery was reported at around 4 p.m. Thursday at Texas Partners Federal Credit Union at 6935 West Adams Ave.
The robber handed a teller a note demanding money, but didn?t show a weapon and didn?t claim to have one, police said.
He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed south on Old Waco Road in an older model gold four-door sedan.
On Friday, acting on a tip, Temple police detectives arrested Moore at the Days Inn hotel at 1104 North General Bruce Drive and recovered evidence linking him to the credit union robbery, Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said Monday.
Moore was in federal custody Monday in Waco pending a court appearance.
